My Three Words for 2011

I was inspired by this post by @IanMRountree on twitter. What will my three words for 2011 be?!

Narrowing down an entire year to three words isn’t an easy thing to do! But here I go…

Love for family and friends, and spread to everyone I encounter in real life and on line.

Gratitude for all the gifts I am blessed with each and everyday, and the ability to show it.

Support for whomever might need it.

These might seem lame to some people, but these are the things that are important to me. I want to be open to others and supportive of what they want and need.

What are your three words for 2011?

  1. Hi, Susie!

I don’t think your words are lame at all! I know I wouldn’t be able to function without those three attributes in my life. 🙂

Here are my 3 words of 2011:

Spark – I find that my best ideas aren’t pre-planned…they’re sparked by someone or something in my life. I hope that positive things come from my “sparks” this year (and that I remember to write all of them down as they occur)!

Persistence – As the Chumbawamba song goes: “I get knocked down, but I get up again…you’re never gonna keep me down.” I have developed a tougher skin over the years, but I still have a long way to go.

Optimism – I’m usually a “glass half empty” type of gal, but I think I can change that in 2011. I have so much to be thankful for and I don’t want to waste any more time drowning in pessimist waters.

This was really fun (and challenging). Thanks for sharing Ian’s post! 🙂

  2. Fantastic words, Suzie, not at all lame – these are all very important. After all, the Three Words aren’t necessarily for goals (though some of us have turned it into that) – but for focus. And I think your words are great to focus on.
