I was gone for awhile. I took a break over the holidays. Honestly, I was to damn depressed to keep writing.
If you’ve been following along, the end of 2011 sucked in KlineLand. Sorry to be blunt, but that’s the truth. Things I thought would be resolved, weren’t. Things I thought to be true, weren’t.
So here we are in 2012 and I am feeling much better now, thank you.
For awhile there I lost track of the need to focus on the present instead of the past or the future. It’s what happens today that matters the most. We can’t change the past. We can’t predict the future.
One thing I will need to work on as 2012 progresses is the ability to forgive. Trusts have been breached. By the way, this has nothing to do with spouses and everything to do with children!
I’m not a big believer in resolutions. But this year I have one…to focus on my writing. I will take that first draft and do something with it! It will be completed.
Blog wise, not much will change. I’ll still be reviewing books. I’ll be tweaking my Susie Loves Artists offerings. I’ll be providing sardonic commentary on the world around us. Hey! It’s an election year…this will be fun! I mean, look what that Republican team of candidates has already given us comedy-wise!
I’m also going to be do more creative stuff over at Play With Susie. Did you even know that existed? It’s where I post things I’ve created. Check it out…there are some printables and lots of cool things to come. Because this year I vow to do a craft a month that I steal directly off of Pinterest.
This would be a great time to make suggestions. What do you want me to write about? Do you want to collaborate? Do you want to create? Everything is always better when it’s done with someone else! So contact me and let’s play!
After all, if 2012 really is the end of the world we should go out in a cloud of fun!
