Lisa Rivers is a marvel. She has a photographic memory. She is the youngest, highest paid computer designer, with one of the most coveted positions in the United States of America; maybe the world. She has designed a program that makes it possible to locate anyone who has been fitted with the BTHS software. Once located, a missing person’s vital signs can be determined. It can even be determined if that person is dead or alive. Because of her software, Lisa is protected in ways only she knows. Her programs are protected by a code only one other person knows. All anyone knows for sure is if she doesn’t get to a computer by no later than 0830, a virus will be released and all of her work will be destroyed. It is the only way to keep the BTHS program from getting into the wrong hands.
Then there is Zachary Rivers. He is Lisa’s little brother. He too is gifted but not enough to break Lisa’s code. To Zach’s dismay everyone in and out of the company knows this. She had to make sure Zach was never marked as someone who could be used to get to her. Lastly, there is Samuel Rivers, her father. She hates him.
That is just the back cover summary. The best part of the book is finding out why Lisa hates her father. I mean hate is a very strong feeling to have for someone; especially when that someone is your father.
What about Zach? Does she love him? Doesn’t Lisa know that having everyone know Zach can’t break the code to her program is embarrassing to him?
What about the mother of this family? Where is she and why is she not in the picture. I know cause I wrote the book. You don’t and if you want to know you will need to read Betrayal and Forgiveness. The mother is in the story but you will have to read it to find out what role she plays if any.
I will tell you that BTHS stands for bring them home safely. Who would you like to see come home? We will be celebrating MemorialDay this weekend. There are a lot of people who wished there had been a BTHS program when their loved one went off to war. America would have known by the vital sign of all of his prisoners that Hitler was really the evil SOB the Jewish people said he was. Kidnappers would not get down the block before being caught. One day the program will be developed and it will bring a lot of lost people home; one way or another but at least you would know.

ABOUT BETRAYAL AND FORGIVENESS
In the Bible, the Lord asked that we not make promises unless we are sure that we can keep them. Lisa made a promise and has done everything in her power to keep that promise. a lesson her father needed to learn. Before he was able to practice keeping his promise, he lost the love of his daughter, his best friend, and he was about to lose the love of his son. Time was running out for all of them, but they didn’t know it.
