Thank God for Pinterest food ideas or we would end up eating spaghetti and plain chicken breasts all week long. I’m in a meal-planning rut and am more than willing to let other cooks lead the way.
We’ve all been wanting Chinese food for awhile. We have a restaurant nearby, but I inevitably get sick when we eat there. I blame those pesky food additive allergies. Everything comes dripping in sauce. The fried rice there is way better than what I’ve tried making here though.
Last weekend I gave Crock Pot Honey Sesame Chicken a shot. It was good, but was incredible the next day! I will make this a day ahead of time from now on.
I ended up cooking the chicken so long that it fell apart. The twins ate it on bread like pulled chicken sandwiches. Jim, Aaron, and I ate it on my attempt at fried rice (which was a combination of several different recipes on my Pinterest Food board). I even had sesame seeds to sprinkle on top. I didn’t toast them or anything, so they added zip to the flavor of the dish–that’s nothing. not zip as in spice.
This is a must-try dish! Plain rice would work just as well as fried. Next time I might double the sauce for the recipe!
