50 in 2013: How To Knit A Wild Bikini by Christie Ridgway

Are you looking for a fun, flirty romance with a twist of knitting? Then Christie Ridgway’s How To Knit A Wild Bikini is perfect! It would be a great beach read, but since it’s the middle of the winter here in the United States, I’ll say it’s a great fireside read.

Nikki is a personal chef with relationship issues. Jay is a magazine writer in need of a personal chef. Oh, and he has relationship issues too. Nikki uses hers pretending to be gay to rebuff Jay. Jay uses his to ask Nikki to pretend to be his girlfriend while she’s working for him for one month. Almost immediately sparks fly between them. Nikki takes time to cool off by visiting the local yarn shop: Malibu & Ewe. She had gotten a promotional post card from them and was intrigued. Now if she can only keep from dropping stitches while she keeps Jay at bay.

I loved the beach setting. The characters were quirky and fun. Even the more annoying characters were still lovable. The sex scenes were pretty darn hot!

This is the first novel in Ridgway’s Knitting Trilogy. There are enough characters and potential love matches in Wild Bikini to fill several novels! You know I love series, so the next two are on my to-read list!

This isn’t heavy reading, but it’s the perfect prescription to warm up some of what winter’s tossing our way!
