I am a write at home mom. What am I writing? These days I write blog posts and witty tweets. At least I think they’re witty. I’m slowly editing the mystery/thriller that has haunted me for years.
I have a wonderful husband. He’s adorable, athletic, funny, and loyal. You can’t get any better than that!
The mom part…I have three great sons. There are the twins, Jeremy and Jermaine. They are 19 year old college freshman and are track stars. I am in awe of the training and effort they put into throwing the shot and discus. It’s amazing really. My youngest, 12 year old Aaron, is the baby. He’s entering that pre-adolescent stage a little more each day. I’ll be glad when the real kid returns in a few years when he’s worked out the angst.
I also have three dogs and four cats. I wanted to get a bird, but Jim dragged me from the pet store. The next day I saw one of the cats seriously coveting a bird outside the window and knew the right decision was not to bring one into the house! That’s the same reason we have no rodent-type pets. Although I haven’t ruled out a tea-cup pig or a llama or an alpaca. And I’m especially partial to pygmy goats…
I write. I knit. I spend time with friends. I have the best friends in the world–I’m definitely practicing quality over quantity.
Long ago, I was a graphic designer. Then I got my masters in clinical psychology and was a therapist. I worked with runaways and lockouts, then coordinated a region of a child abuse prevention program, then worked with a child care center consulting with teachers and providing family and child counseling, and then I was the executive director of an agency that worked with people who were homeless.
Right now my other love besides blogging and writing is knitting. I’m getting pretty adept with those needles. I want to draft a pattern soon!
I hope you enjoy reading Motherhoot as much as I enjoy writing it! I’d love to hear your thoughts about it! Or suggestions!
Thanks for reading Motherhoot. I hope you’ll become a fan and a friend!

I love your blog and am glad I found it Can I have a crown too. Maybe I’ll hint to my husband that a crown suits me now that I am a (juicy) crone.
Thank you! I’m thinking of a giveaway of a tiara! Lord knows we all deserve on now and then. By the way…how old do you have to be to be a crone?!

Thank you Susie for guest hosting my post today. Have a wonderful week and Happy Thanksgiving from a neighbor to the north.
@Moximize_Me Thank you for guest posting! I love it! You’re welcome any time!
I love your blog. You sure are having some fun I’m going to go get my crown. I am not a princess, I am the Queen of everything! I knit but easy stuff is good enough for me. Life is challenge enough without bringing it into my pleasure. I’m living with 4 dogs(Pound puppies) 4 cockateils, 2 goldfish,4 chickens, and 2 ghosts. I have a plethora(I have forgotten how to spell it) of children and grandchildren and great grandchildren but I pretty much ignore them unless they corner me. I am currently amusing myself by taking multiple writing courses offered by SinC. Selling off a lifetime of collectibles is my current endeavor but I am not serious about it. I too am working on multiple wip revisions. I love writing. There is more but I am tired now. margaret
Thanks for introducing yourself, Margaret! You definitely deserve a tiara! We all do! I want to hear more about the chickens and the ghosts! Do you collect eggs?!
hugs,
susie
